Buyer Integration Meeting was held through Google meet on 17/8/2020 for red chilies. People from Department of Agriculture Marketing and Agri-business – Thoothukudi and Ramanathapuram participated and MIPs like Vizhthugal Farmer Producer Company Ltd and Ramnad Mundu Chilli Farmer Producer Company Ltd also participated. In this meeting So many business opportunities for red chilies are discussed by Mr.Rajamohan chandrasekar from Bayer Crop Science and explained about usage of Rainforest Alliance Certificate for export of samba chillies and also discussion happened on sustainable energy and possibilities to link with red chillies and pulses seed production.
Mr.Balamurugan (Agricultural officer) from Department of Agriculture Marketing and Agri-business and Mr. Moorthy (DDAB) Ramanathapuram were explained about district potential for Red chillies and Pulses for their respective districts. Mr.Muthukumar (Project Lead) and Mr.Saravana prasath (coordinator) from ICRISAT also participated in this integration meeting.
