Tamil Nadu Supply Chain Management Project for Fruits, Vegetables and Other perishables in implemented by Commissionerate of Agricultural Marketing and Agri Business. The state level administrative team is in Chennai. The project is headed by Commissioner of Agricultural Marketing and Agri Business under the leadership of Agriculture Production Commissioner and Principal Secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu. The nodal cell is constituted and it is managed by Deputy Director of Agriculture (Agri Business), under which as team of Assistant Director of Agriculture and Agricultural Officers are deputed in the TNSCM Cell. The team is guided by Joint Director of Agriculture (Agri Business) towards the regular operations and business development. Joint Director of Agriculture (Regulated Markets) is supporting on all financial and administrative aspects. Tamil Nadu State marketing Board is managing the funds of the project.
Organisation Structure


This is a business unit and it is mainly constituted by the resources of the FPOs. It is planned to have a state , district and PPC level units to manage the business development, production, operations and administration. During the initial phase of the project will have PPC level resources and then the district & state level units will be formed once the business grows. The three level system is desired to make the organisation with all systems in place and build as a robust management framework.

- District Level Execution Team

It has two bodies and in which DLMC is a administrative body and MIC is a executing body which is responsible to manage the PPCs and addressing the operational issues.DLMC means the District Level Monitoring Committee which comprises of the District collector as Chairman, Assistant General Manager, NABARD, Joint Director of Agriculture, Deputy Director of Agriculture (Agri Business), Deputy Director of Horticulture, District Head of Cooperatives Department and Market Integration Partner FPOs. The DLMC is vested with the responsibility to review the usage of the facility by various stakeholders with the focus on larger participation of farming community.MIC means the Market Integration Committee that comprises of the Deputy Director Agriculture (Agri Business), Secretary, Market Committee, Agriculture Officer – Agri Business, Department of Agricultural Marketing and Agri Business, Horticulture Officer, Department of Horticulture and Plantation Crops and Assistant Engineer, Tamil Nadu State Agricultural Marketing Board. This body will take care of the review of operations of MIP in the PPCs and the Production Clusters. MIC will be placed under the Control of DLMC.
