Pollachi PPC is connected to NH 83 by Meenakarai Rd, giving it easy access to hte road transport. This location is a major vegetable growing and trading cluster. It caters the trading, processing and export community of production cluster nearby Pollachi. The cropo grown around a radius of 30km can be processed in Pollachi PPC.
Pollachi PPC is well equipped with a packhouse and additional handling area to handle about 2 MT of vegetables on a daily basis. This PPC is established to focus on handling raw Coconut. A cold storage unit with a capacity of 40 MT is provided to store the primary processed vegetables. Other basic amenities such as admin block, power station and sanitary blocks are also provided inside the premises.
A quality control lab is provided in the facility for the assessment of the quality of produce before and after processing. This is to ensure the quality standards of the produce delivered from processing center.
