Dharmapuri PPC is built inside a regulated market complex situated in Madhikonpalayam in Dharmapuri town. It is strategically situated in Tirupattur to Krishnagiri link road, giving it direct access to the road transport. This location is a major Tamarind growing and trading cluster. It caters the trading, processing and export community of production clusters around Dharmapuri. The crop grown around a radius of 30 km can be processed in Dharmapuri PPC.
Dharmapuri PPC is well equipped with a packhouse and additional handling area to handle about 1.6 MT of Tamarind. This PPC is established to focus on handling Tamarind.Other basic amenities such as admin block, power station and sanitary blocks are also provided inside the premises.
A quality control lab is provided in the facility for the assessment of the quality of produce before and after processing. This is to ensure the quality standards of the produce delivered from the processing centre.
