Kothagiri PPC is situated inside the NCMS complex which is in Kothagiri town, giving it direct access to the road transport. This location is a major vegetable growing and trading cluster. It caters the trading, processing and export community of production clusters around Kothagiri PPC . The crop grown around a radius of 30km can be processed in Kothagiri PPC .
Kothagiri PPC is well equipped with a packhouse and additional handling area to handle about 8 MT of vegetables on a daily basis. This PPC is established to focus on handling majorly exotics vegetables such as Broccoli, Celery, Leeks, Lettuce, Zucchini, Parsley and other hilly vegetables like Beans, Cabbage etc,. Other basic amenities such as admin block, power station and sanitary blocks are also provided inside the premises.
A quality control lab is provided in the facility for the assessment of the quality of produce before and after processing. This is to ensure the quality standards of the produce delivered from the processing centre.
