Kallikudi PPC Constructed under the Warehouse Infrastructure Fund (WIF) of NABARD at a total cost of Rs.77 crore for creating state of the Art infrastructure facilities for primary processing and making market linkages to handle the fruits, vegetables and other perishable commodities in the Tiruchirappalli districts of Tamil Nadu. Since Trichy is the geographical centre of the state, Kallikudi PPC can be Act as a Packhouse to export vegetable and fruit products from surrounding districts through Tiruchirappalli International Airport which is located 15 Km away from the PPC Location.

Kallikudi PPC is well equipped with a packhouse and additional handling area to handle about 3 MT of Multi vegetables on a daily basis. This PPC is established to focus on handling Multi vegetables. A cold storage unit with a capacity of 1000 MT is provided to store the primary processed Vegetables also available at the premises. Other basic amenities such as admin block, power station and sanitary blocks are also provided inside the premises.
A quality control lab is provided in the facility for the assessment of the quality of produce before and after processing. This is to ensure the quality standards of the produce delivered from the processing centre.
