Ramayampatti PPC is built inside the regulated market complex situated beside Puliangudi-Tirunelveli road and very near to Palayamkottai town and Tirunelveli city, giving it direct access to the road transport. This location is a major vegetable growing and trading cluster. It caters the trading, processing and export community of production clusters around Ramayampatti PPC . The crop grown around a radius of 30 km can be processed in Ramayampatti PPC.
Ramayampatti PPC is well equipped with a packhouse and additional handling area to handle about 8 MT of vegetables on a daily basis.This PPC is established to focus on handling Brinjal, Bhendi, Tomato, Cucumber, Spinach. A cold storage unit with a capacity of 10 MT is provided to store the primary processed vegetables. Other basic amenities such as admin block, power station and sanitary blocks are also provided inside the premises.
A quality control lab is provided in the facility for the assessment of the quality of produce before and after processing. This is to ensure the quality standards of the produce delivered from the processing centre.
